DataGators is committed to protecting your personal data. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights under applicable data protection law — including GDPR, CCPA, and India's DPDP Act.
We collect information in three ways: data you provide directly, data collected automatically, and data we receive from third parties.
We process personal data only where we have a lawful basis to do so. For each purpose below, the legal basis is noted.
Under GDPR, CCPA, and India's DPDP Act, you have the following rights regarding your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@datagators.com.
Request a copy of all personal data we hold about you. We will respond within 30 days.
Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete personal data we hold about you.
Request deletion of your personal data where there is no legitimate reason for us to continue processing it.
Ask us to pause processing of your data while a complaint is investigated or accuracy is verified.
Receive your personal data in a structured, machine-readable format to transfer to another provider.
Object to processing based on legitimate interests. We will stop unless we demonstrate compelling grounds that override your interests.
If you believe we have not handled your personal data lawfully, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your relevant supervisory authority — the ICO (UK), your EU Member State data protection authority, or the Data Protection Board of India. We encourage you to contact us first at privacy@datagators.com so we can resolve the issue directly.
We retain personal data only for as long as necessary for the purpose it was collected, or as required by applicable law. Enquiry and project correspondence is retained for 3 years. Financial and invoicing records are retained for 7 years in compliance with tax law. Newsletter subscriber records are retained until you unsubscribe.
All personal data is stored on encrypted infrastructure hosted in data centres with ISO 27001 certification. Access to personal data is restricted to staff who require it to perform their duties, and all staff handling personal data receive data protection training.
We do not transfer personal data outside the EEA, UK, or India without appropriate safeguards — including Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) where required by GDPR.
We use a limited number of carefully vetted sub-processors — including Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and our payment processor. All sub-processors are bound by data processing agreements and provide GDPR-equivalent protections.
In the event of a personal data breach that poses a risk to your rights and freedoms, we will notify the relevant supervisory authority within 72 hours and affected individuals without undue delay.
